Reserve Deputy Fred Feuser was shot and killed after confronting two teenagers breaking into a storage building in the village of Four Seasons.

On December 7, 1994, Deputy Feuser was called by volunteer Lake Ozark firefighter William Jensen who found a stolen boat crashed into his dock. As they approached the dock at Downings Branch Cove at the 5 mile-marker on Horseshoe Bend they saw two juveniles looting a storage locker. They called Water Patrol and the juvenile authorities. When the authorities arrived they found Jensen dead in a fishing boat and divers pulled Deputy Feuser's body from the water. Both men had been shot in the head with a 22 caliber pistol. Deputy Feuser was a reserve deputy with Camden County Sheriff's Department and worked with Jensen moonlighting as security at the Four Seasons. Christopher Creed, 17, and a thirteen year-old juvenile were apprehended 15 hours after the murders. Both suspects were charged with two counts of murder. The juvenile was charged in youth court.

This case resulted in landmark state juvenile justice legislation. Deputy Feuser was a U.S. military veteran. He is survived by his wife and four children.
