Special Agent Douglas Abram was shot and killed while serving a warrant.
Special Agent Abram was shot in the head and killed by suspect James Price when Agent Abram and the St Louis SWAT team conducted a search of a house in St. Louis, Missouri, for illegal weapons and drugs. Agent Abram was entering the house with members of the St. Louis SWAT team when the suspect opened fire, striking Agent Abram. Return fire kill the suspect. Two other FBI agents were wounded during the incident.
Special Agent Abram was born in Joplin, Missouri and was with the agency for 14 years after serving in the Air Force. He was survived by his wife, three children, mother, brother, and sister.
