Sergeant Wisniewski was involved in a police raid of an illegal dice game when he suffered a stroke during the raid. He died of a heart attack at Sister's Hospital the next day.
Sergeant Wisniewski joined the department when he was 30. He took a leave of absence to serve in the military in World War II and was promoted to detective upon his return. He served with the agency a total of 24 years. He was survived by his wife, Edna. Interred: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
